In October 2018 a charity event called The Super Heart Hoop-Off is being held in Hagley Park to support the Heart Foundation of New Zealand.

Heart disease is New Zealand’s biggest killer.

Most deaths from heart disease are preventable.

Regular exercise is one of the most effective ways to prevent heart disease.

The main sponsor for this event is In2Hula: Hoop for Fitness, and the main activity at the event will be an attempt to break the New Zealand record for the most people hula hooping together in one place for at least 2 minutes continuously.

This is In2Hula’s way of promoting fun physical activity.

 

How your business can be involved:

Enter a Corporate Team
Your business can enter a team (any size) to take part in the New Zealand hula hoop record attempt.  This is an effective way to build team purpose among staff both for those taking part directly and those supporting.  Teams are invited to dress up for the event in a way that promotes their business.

What if your staff members can’t hula hoop?

In some ways it is even better if your staff members can’t hula hoop to start with as learning a new skill together where everyone is out of their comfort zone and is collaborating in a new situation is one of the best ways to build connection among your staff.

In2hula hula hoop classes are marked by laughter, encouragement and celebration.

In2hula is offering business’s a 30 minute Try It Workshop where participants can learn how to hula hoop.   In2hula can run this workshop with your staff group alone or staff can attend a Try It Workshop for a combined group of businesses.  The price for this workshop will vary depending on venue and group type.  If you have a team of people interested in taking part in the Hoop-Off your business can run a Hoop-Off Preparation Package of 6 thirty minute group teaching sessions for $50 (plus GST) per session – total cost $345 (including GST)

There is also a discount price for In2hula Fitness Hoops of $39 (including GST) each for 5 or more hoops – these hoops are normally $45 each.
